SOS Assistance

Martin has worked on yachts all over the world. He has been on 18 different slipways in 12 different countries. And, has friends and contacts in many parts of the pacific who specialise in yachts, know the local waters, anchorages, and how to find spares, getting things into the country , customs and immigration , plus more. Fiji, Tonga, American Samoa , Western Samoa , French Polynesian to name a few. Martin has a way to fix many things using what’s onboard. A classic example is when sailing from Australia to New Zealand. The rudder of the yacht was knocked off by a whale strike when only 1/5 of the way into the trip. After stopping the leak , Martin devised a way to steer the boat using a spinnaker pole attached to the transom , a long knotted line and a small anchor dragged behind the yacht. He used this system for over 1000 miles to complete the trip. This is when he was only 20 years of age. He is also the first person to single hand two catamarans simultaneously, from Tonga to Fiji. Towing one behind the other, watch the video now at Rewildingmankind.com to learn all the tricks involved. Other videos include “how to build a slipway and haul out a boat , in one day before a cyclone hits.” and “how to stand up a 24 meter mast by oneself.” Martin has set up boats up to 80 ft long for extended pacific crossings, including safety gear checks to advising all the right spares and tools to have onboard, providing diagrams and other information on how to fix an array of things associated with each type of vessel.

Single handing two catamarans simultaneously?!?!

Marty or Captain Pacific delivers a 44ft cat during covid from Tonga to Fiji and tows his catamaran behind. SINGLE HANDING TWO CATAMARANS SIMULTANEOUSLY FROM ONE COUNTRY TO THE NEXT.
He also looks after remote islands.
In 2020 when covid hit , Marty got "stuck" on a remote island in Fiji for a year and a half.Tonga went into a full lockdown for years.
This video is how he left the country with his new boat towed behind another boat he was getting to its owners in Fiji.
